Carl Lewis
Carl Lewis was undoubtedly the star of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics winning four gold medals in the track and field events. He won the 100 metres dash, the 200 metres, 4 * 100 metres team relay and the long jump, making him one of the most versatile athletes of his time. Carl was always late off the blocks, in other terms, a slow starter but a brilliant finisher. One can see Carl gaining momentum from the 40 metre mark and the rest would be history. His famous showdown with Ben Johnson in the 1988 Seoul Olympics, where Ben failed the dope test and subsequently won the Gold medal in 100 metres, is still remembered. Despite enjoying huge success, he remains very modest and humble.
